JLB-Yaran are very proud to announce Taylah Abbott as our newest participant into the Indigenous Development and Employment Program (IDEP). Taylah is proud and capable young Indigenous women who is extremely excited to be the current Quality House Coordinator based in Adelaide.
Taylah has been with Quality House for approximately 6 months and in her role is responsible for a wide range of duties including administrating and coordinating various activities within the headquarters of Quality House. With the support of Quality House and JLB-Yaran, Taylah is currently engaged in a Traineeship to kick off her employment and formal qualifications to support her progression into a qualified, capable and in demand Indigenous employee. To achieve this, both Taylah and her employer Quality House have committed themselves to JLB-Yaran’s IDEP which will provide close mentorship, support and guidance through Taylah’s initial Traineeship as well as set up Taylah with the confidence, skills and drive to take on further qualifications to develop her into professional and experienced employee.
Taylah’s career progression will be closely monitored by JLB-Yaran’s Indigenous Employment Manager and Indigenous mentors. A training continuum will be created for Taylah to ensure she succeeds in her current study whilst gaining the valuable skills, formal qualifications complementing her job experience at Quality House.
At JLB-Yaran we are committed to increasing Indigenous employment, engagement and participation by producing Indigenous professionals capable of fulfilling various roles within Government, business and industry. Our aim is not to just deliver employment opportunities for Indigenous talent, but to also ensure our IDEP participants develop careers for long-term employment and lucrative careers.
